Colonel Jimmy Macon
Colonel Jimmy Macon is Corps Commander, Military Cadets of America, currently headquartered in Minnesota. COL Macon served twenty plus years in the Army as a combat arms soldier mainly as an infantryman. He retired September 1996 as a first Sergeant E-8.
After retiring in 1996 from active duty, COL Macon became a law enforcement officer and holds the position of Chief of Police for a police department. Also since retiring he has continued wearing a modified military uniform working with youth cadet programs: Civil Air Patrol as Squadron Commander, cadet program officer and safety officer for six years, U.S. Naval Sea Cadets as Unit Commander for four years, Military Cadets as Commander for eight years and Co-founder of the Military Cadets of America, Inc. since 2010. COL Macon has over eighteen years’ experience in youth military cadetting and has helped over 350 personnel start their military careers with each branch of our military service.
